All inquiries are received by phone, live chat, text message, email or through Facebook Messenger. Ask JES uses ZenDesk customer service software, creating tickets for each inquiry. When the service is live, Ask JES provides immediate answers to legal questions. When questions come in during offline hours, a response is provided the next business day.

Ask JES is supported by UBC law students, as well as a knowledge base of over 1000 legally reviewed questions and answers. When complex questions are asked, they are escalated legally trained professionals who respond by email. Ask JES provides legal help information, not legal advice.
